The Pastoral Council is made up of approximately 20 members of the parish representing a wide cross section of its population. As the “eyes and ears” of the parish, the pastoral council serves in an advisory capacity to the pastor with respect to a number of different items regarding the overall parish experience ranging from social outreach, communications, service and stewardship to family life and capital campaigns.
The council meets formally four times a year from September to May with sub-committees meeting on an as-needed basis throughout the year. Some of our achievements include: creating the Parish Mission Statement; incorporating a parish-wide survey of parishioners’ opinions of St. Bartholomew’s; we started the New Parishioner Welcome receptions and the Annual Parish Picnic, as well as the Lenten Fish Fry. We also reacted to the devastating earthquake in Haiti by establishing a Giving Tree for families in need. For further information, please feel free to contact the members of the executive committee:
