Lenten Stations of the Cross - Looking for Level 1 Confirmation Candidates
Date: Lent 2017 Time: 7:30 to 8:30 PM
We are looking for at least 8 readers as well as one Candidate to carry the Cross to each of the Stations in the church.
This is a wonderful service opportunity.
There is one rehearsal which Mrs. Pat Krema will be conducting.
Community Food Bank in Hillside
We are looking for Confirmation candidates age 12 and older to stock the shelves at the Community Food Bank of Hillside from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We leave the Saint Bartholomew parking lot at 8:30 AM.
We also ask that you bring a donation of non-perishable food. This is a great project to do with your sponsor, older sibling or parent. Come join us!
We will be looking for help again in the fall.
Saint Mary's Soup Kitchen
We are seeking Level 2 Confirmation Candidates (at least 12 years of age) to assist with serving dinner. One parent should plan on accompanying our 4 candidates to provide transportation and supervision. Our parish provides volunteers on the 4th Sunday of each month at 2:00 PM.
Saint Nicholas Prayer Garden - Do you like to plant and dig in a garden?
We are seeking helpers to assist us with raking, pruning, planting and beautifying our Prayer Garden. We need help on Thursday afternoons for about one hour. Please contact Diane McGee at 908-322-2359.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) for Grades 1 to 4
Every Sunday during the school year at the 10:30 AM Mass, children grades 1 to 4 are dismissed to hear the Gospel and sing. Please contact Joe Viviano (908) 412-8064. If you play an instrument, sing or would like to assist us with our children, we welcome you to our team which is on a rotating schedule.
Pray and Play for Pre-school - Kindergarten
We are looking for teaching aides on Sunday mornings from 8:50 - 10:10 AM or 10:35 to 11:50 AM. Contact: the Director of Religious Education, (908) 322-2359. Our Level 1 and 2 Candidates are needed to mentor children with developmental disabilities in classrooms for grades 1 through 4. Parents are needed to assist with lessons and events. Activities: Teacher Assistants, helping with arts and crafts. We need assistance in the lower grades during our session 1 time (8:50 to 10:10 AM) and Session 2 (10:35 to 11:50 AM).
Meals on Wheels
Assist in the preparation and/or delivery of meals for homebound. Contact: Josephine Walsh, 908-322-5192.
Assist homebound parishioners of St. Bart’s with meal delivery, or household chores or provide companionship. Contact: Elaine Coupe, 908- 322-5192, ext 141.
Caring for Gardens at Evergreen School
