A Very Special Thanks and Wishes for a New Year.....
I wanted to take the time to reflect on the past months that we have experienced COVID as a parish. Since March, when we needed to change the way we reach out to our community, you have truly stepped up as a parish community. The needs of the hungry became plentiful and you filled our pantry basket with enough food to feed not only our community but beyond to other communities. The seniors needed our care and you called them, delivered food to them and and took them to appointments. When those that were experiencing their final days at hospice needed help, you sang to them, made cards and cooked for the staff. We saw that our frontline workers were weary and tired, so you put angels on their lawns and thanked them for their service. As we headed into the holidays, you made sure everyone had turkey and sides along with blessings. You flooded us with gifts for Christmas, stockings for children in the hospital and shelters and gift cards so that one could go to the store with dignity and purchase their own gifts. You made close to 150 hats for NICU babies! All of these things were done by you, our parish. You were truly the hands and heart of Jesus. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your genorosity, your kindness, your care and for proving that while we cannot all gather, we are still a church community. God Bless all of you and your families. Happy New Year! May 2021 come in with hope and blessings for better days. Thank you for making my job easy, I am blessed to serve beside you in His name.
In Christ,
Elaine
