The parish community of St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church shares in your excitement in desiring to receive the Sacrament of Marriage. Our clergy and the pastoral staff look forward to assisting you in your preparation.
We wholeheartedly believe that these next months of preparation will provide you the opportunity to reflect, enrich, and prepare for the wonderful gift of the Sacrament of Marriage. As a faith-filled Catholic community, we uphold the Church's teaching that this sacrament is a life-ling, indissoluble commitment in which a man and a woman are united in a sacred and loving bond. So that this wonderful sacrament is thoughtfully entered into, we invite you to take part in our marriage preparation program with an open mind and heart.
The marriage preparation program at St. Bartholomew Church is designed to foster a fruitful and loving marriage rooted in the Catholic tradition. The program beings with an initial meeting with a priest, followed by the FOCCUS Pre-Marriage Inventory (which assesses the couple's compatibility), and then, as a couple, you will be paired with a parish mentor-couple who will facilitate our Pre-Cana program entitled "For Better and Forever" (4-6 sessions). The marriage preparation program concludes with a meeting with the parish liturgical coordinator who will assist you in planning your nuptial Mass/ceremony.
We consider it a sacred honor to walk with you as you prepare not only for your wedding day but most especially for your life-long marriage. Be assured of our prayers and support.
