Jennifer Mortarulo is a traditionally trained artist. She earned her BFA at Rutgers University and did her Masters work at Hunter College in NYC focusing on Art History. She studied abroad in Urbino, Italy in 1995 where she solidified her love and passion for the arts.
Jennifer has had a long and varied career within the art world. First working in the fashion industry as a textile designer for more than 10 years. Working her way up the ladder from Junior Designer, Senior Designer and ultimately to Art Director in various companies. When she decided to start a family, she worked from home as a freelance artist, taking on all types of projects, from painting murals in expecting mother's nursery room walls to designing logos for a new business to creating and managing the social media ads for Architectural Digest Home Show as well as other local start-up businesses.
Today she is a wife, mother of two daughters, Mia, and Lyla who attend the Academy, an educator of fine art at the One River School of Art and Design in Milburn NJ, and an entrepreneur of a boutique digital design business, Intelligent Digital Design. She was hired in 2018 as Director of Communications for the Parish. She utilizes her talents in art and design at the Rectory, as the creator of our Parish logo, redesigning the church bulletin, church website, along with any and all in house collateral for St. Bartholomew.
She is happy to be doing the work she loves, so close to her daughters' school and feels lucky to be working in a caring, close-knit environment.
