Called By Name

We live in a time where many, especially young people, struggle to find meaning and direction in their lives. As a parish, we hope to respond to this need by supporting a greater awareness that each one of us has a God-given purpose and vocation in life, for which he has called and prepared us. With that mission in mind, we are thrilled to announce the formation of Called By Name, our new Vocations Team here at St. Bart's!

What is the purpose of this team?
Our mission is simple yet profound: to illuminate the truth that each of us is uniquely made, deeply loved, and called by God for a purpose. This message is pivotal in guiding individuals to discern their paths in life, whether it be towards marriage, priesthood or consecrated life. As we witness a decline in vocations, especially to the priesthood, we recognize the urgency to cultivate a culture where every person understands their divine calling. Our parish is poised to lead this charge, shaping a community where vocations are embraced and nurtured.

What will the Vocations Team do?
The Vocations Team will commit to fervent prayer for vocations, serve as touchpoints in various areas of our parish life, and organize events throughout the year to promote vocation awareness and invite those in our community to explore and uncover their unique paths to which God has called them.

Together, we hope to ignite a flame of purpose and vocation within our parish, illuminating the path towards God's highest calling for each one of us. Please pray for us as we continue forward with this mission!
